Who we are
L&M Studios runs michellepierce.works, the website for Michelle Pierce Artworks. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, buy from our shop, or contact us, and what we do with it.

Information we collect
We only collect information you give us and the basic technical information any website receives.
- When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and what you ordered.
- When you pay: your card or PayPal details go directly to our payment processors (Stripe or PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
- When you use our contact form: your name, email address, phone number, and your message.
- When you visit any page: your browser automatically shares technical details such as your IP address (a number that identifies your internet connection), browser type, and device type. Our web hosting provider may keep these in its standard server records.
How we use your information
We use your information only to run the shop and answer you. We use it to:
- Process, ship, and deliver your order, and handle returns or refunds.
- Calculate sales tax and shipping costs.
- Send emails about your order, such as confirmations and shipping updates.
- Reply to messages you send us.
- Keep the site secure and block spam and fraud.
- Keep records we are required to keep by law, such as sales and tax records.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

We share information only with the services that help us run the site and fill your order. Each one handles your information under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising pixels, visitor analytics, session recording, or any other tool that tracks you for marketing.
The site does use a few small files called cookies that it needs to work. Our shop uses them to remember what is in your cart and to complete checkout. Stripe and hCaptcha may use them to detect fraud and block bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.
Emails we send
We only email you about an order you placed or a message you sent us, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, and replies. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
How long we keep your information
We keep order information on file with no set deletion date. This lets us help with past orders and keep the sales and tax records the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described under "Your choices and rights" below. We keep contact form messages only as long as we need them to reply to you.
How we protect your information
The site uses a secure (encrypted) connection, and payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal rather than stored on our site. No website is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@michellepierce.works and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can. We may need to keep some order records when the law requires it.
If you live in California or another state with its own privacy law, you may have additional rights under that law. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Other websites
Our site links to our pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Etsy. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and purchases made on Etsy are covered by Etsy's policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
