Painting after a hard panic attack, remembering all I had thought about while believing I was over; I laid down a layer of gold foil to represent the strenuous prayers. As I eased out of the panic attack, realizing what it was, the question remained about ‘staying’. Staying in the world, staying where I was. I did stay. But I shifted, and other things had to go.
