There is a movement to return to a tiered system of personhood and privilege in which women have less agency and self ownership, and to reduce our full personhood. This movement profoundly misunderstands first the power of women to balance, maintain, and propel the forward movement of civilized society; and second intentionally misconstrues for personal gain the very core message of the Christ they claim to follow. The presence of that profound misuse of the Gospel does not in any way diminish the intrinsic value of women (of any sort) in human society, or in God’s eye. The pink here points to femaleness in this consequential conversation.
